Jüdisches Kulturerbe in Regensburg. Treffen der „SPP-Nachwuchsgruppe“ im Oktober 2023
English, proceedingsNach dem ersten Treffen an der Technischen Universität Braunschweig im Februar 2023 und einer Sektion während des Großen Forums in Schwäbisch Gmünd im Juni 2023 trafen sich die wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeitenden im DFG-Schwerpunktprogramm 2357 Jüdisches Kulturerbe am 24. und 25. Oktober 2023 zu ihrem dritten Workshop in Regensburg. Die Treffen vor Ort sind neben regelmäßigen Online-Treffen zu einer Plattform für den intensiven Austausch innerhalb des SPPs geworden.

English, notificationIm Stadtarchiv München sind zwei kurze Filme ohne Ton überliefert, von denen einer den Titel „Abbruch der Synagoge 1938“ trägt. Andrea Löw und Kim Wünschmann analysieren diese bewegten Bilder der Zerstörung der Münchner Hauptsynagoge. Als stolzes Symbol jüdischen Lebens wurde die Synagoge in den 1880er Jahren im neo-romanischen Stil in der Nähe zu Karlstor und Stachus erbaut. Die Filme transportieren ein bestimmtes Narrativ von einem Gewaltakt als städteplanerischer Baumaßnahme. Sie müssen kontextualisiert werden mit Fragen nach der Beteiligung von Behörden in Land und Kommune sowie beauftragten Unternehmen. Wir reagierte die Jüdische Gemeinde München und was lässt sich über die Wahrnehmung durch die Öffentlichkeit sagen?
