Dr. Cordula Dittmer works as a senior researcher at the Academy of Disaster Research (ADRU). Her research focuses on the sociological analysis of disaster prevention and management in Germany and internationally. Together with Daniel F. Lorenz, she analyzed, among other things, the reactions to the refugee situation in Germany in 2015/16 and the citizens’ reactions to the floods in the Ahr valley in 2021.
